The minimum educational qualification to be an art teacher is a one-year certificate in drawing teacher training that you can do after the 10th. Many schools may prefer candidates with a two-year art teacher diploma (A.T.D.). For the A.T.D., it is necessary to have completed 10+2 and passed the intermediate drawing grade examination that the Directorate of Art in Maharashtra conducts. Some art institutions may also require you to have completed a one-year art foundation course.
