Preschool Teacher Responsibilities:
- Develop lesson plans, supervise classroom activities, develop an individual education program (IEP), and attend staff meetings
- Develop classroom environment and improve teaching skills
- Maintain detailed information in classroom portfolios
- Implement safety regulations and procedures
- Evaluate student performance and develop Individual Education Plans
- Provide guidance, support, and training to student teachers
- Assist with admissions and enrollment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements And Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field
- At least 3 years’ successful teaching experience in a preschool setting
- Knowledge of child development and best practices for early childhood education
- Strong academic skills and proven ability to promote positive classroom behavior
- Knowledge of curriculum development and best practices
