Beware of Fake News: CBSE

Beware of Fake News: CBSE – Not only students and parents, but teachers working from home were also surprised when they read the notice regarding CBSE Exam Dates. The news was false, but it did create a panic situation in the education industry. Students, who have not visited their schools for a long time, were stressed on how they would prepare and attempt the examinations all of a sudden. They had many questions regarding the mode of examination, and so on.

All of this has finally alarmed the conducting body as CBSE has released an official notice about the same. The board shared a notice to alert all the teachers and student about the fake news. The board also mentioned that the dates for 10th and 12th exam and practical exams are not correct. The notice also mentions the circular about exam date was incorrect, and should not be followed.

The controller of Board Exams, Dr Sanyam Bbhardwaj, issued a notice saying, “It has come to the notice of the CBSE that in several Social Media Platforms and in News Papaera dates/months for starting of class X & XII Board’s examinations and Practical Examinations are being circulated. As these circulated information is not correct, hence, creating panic amongst the students, teachers, and parents.”

The board alarmed all the schools, students, parents, and stakeholders against such news and also advised them to visit the official website cbse.nic.in for the correct information. The notice also mentioned that the board is aware of the condition and is preparing to conduct these examinations once the situation is under control. The notice is as follows:

“CBSE is well aware about the condition of the students and parents in the time of pandemic and therefore, whatsoever decision would be taken by the CBSE that will only be taken after the consultation with all the stakeholders and will be communicated at an appropriate time through the Board’s website.”

You should also be aware that there any many fake websites that post such news in order to gain profit from the pandemic situation. Therefore, you must check CBSE’s official portal whenever you came across something like this. You can also help others by either reporting fake news or by deciding not to share irrelevant news among your contacts.
